Son Light Bible Church is a Tithing Church supporting the missions of:
Rev Don Donaldson
Lumina
Ministries of Son Light Bible Church include:
1 Can @ a Time -
Easing hunger is an important outreach of our church. When purchasing groceries, it doesn’t cost much to get 1 canned good or dry good to donate to our pantry. The items are then taken to a local food bank.
A-Team-
Interested members of the congregation work together to plan and organize EVENTS. The group has 1 planning meeting yearly in October. We may need to meet from time to time throughout the year to formalize plans. We work together preparing and presenting events such as 5th Sunday lunch, fundraisers, movies, paint days, etc. Interest in participating, please contact Kathy Shirk.
Audio/Video Team -
This ministry is very important to our Worship Services. They run the equipment providing music and images/video’s and run sound equipment for special music. Interest in this team should be shared with Pastor Mike.
Bible Ministry -
As a team we go into Lancaster City, usually on King Street every other Sunday afternoon, weather permitting. We do not stand on the street corners preaching or being confrontational, but simply provide Bibles, tracks, study books, children’s story books and coloring books. We do share words of encouragement and pray for those requesting prayer. Should this ministry be of interest to you, please contact Fred Watson.
Christian
Education Leaders (teachers/facilitators) -

SLBC partners with First Reformed Church periodically to provide a meal to those in need. Interest in participating with this ministry should be expressed to Fred Watson.
Fellowship Time -
10:30 Sunday Mornings are fellowship time. The church provides coffee and members donate snacks. There is a signup on the snack table. Coffee needs to be made every Sunday morning before the CE Class begins. Anyone willing to take a turn making coffee please contact Kathy Shirk.
Greeters -
Another important ministry of the church is to welcome those entering the church and provide them with a bulletin. Introducing new visitors to an Elder of the church. A positive experience begins with a smile and handshake, fist or elbow bump. No one wants to return to a place that treated them as though they were invisible. A sign-up sheet is available in the Welcome Center.
Men's Group -
Men meet to discuss current events and scripture.
Special Music -
Instrumental and or vocal music assists in the worship experience. Interest in providing special music should be addressed to Wayne Woodman.
Ushers -
Ushers assist the worship service when taking up offering and serving Communion. Interest in this position should be expressed to Pastor Mike.
