ABOUT SON LIGHT BIBLE CHURCH

MISSION STATEMENT:

Son Light Bible Church is committed to proclaiming the Word of God, ministering to His children to inspire their growth, and reaching those who have not yet accepted Jesus as their Savior through worship, service, teaching and sacrifice.

STATEMENT OF FAITH:

We believe in one living and true God, everlasting, of infinite power, wisdom, and goodness; the maker and preserver of all things, both visible and invisible, eternally existing in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that The Son, Jesus Christ, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, so that God and Man were joined together in one person, never to be divided. Christ suffered, was crucified, died in our place for our sins and was resurrected so that all who place their faith in Him as their Savior are declared righteous by God.

We Believe that Christ did truly rise from the dead, and took again his body, once crucified and now glorified he ascended into heaven, and there sits until he returns to judge all persons at the last day.

We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is God breathed, true and holy, with no contradictions or errors, is full and final authority for faith and life, and contains all things necessary to salvation.

We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ, trusting Him alone for eternal salvation, are born again by the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God, sealed by the Holy Spirit and therefore secure until the day of final redemption. Although good works, which are the result of faith and follow after justification, cannot take away our sins, they are pleasing and acceptable to God in Christ, and spring out of a true and lively faith.

We believe that the Church of Jesus Christ began at Pentecost with the coming of the Holy Spirit to dwell within all believers, and its responsibility is to bring glory to God reaching out to the world and following His command to make disciples of all persons.

We believe that Jesus Christ prescribed the observance of two sacraments: baptism with water to demonstrate the believer’s submission to and union with Christ; and the Lord’s Supper to commemorate His death until He comes again.
